I took this photo with my iPhone on August 23rd of last year. This is us pulling out of our house in Placitas, NM. At this point everything had either been sold or put in storage. All we needed to live was neatly packed away inside our 36 foot house on wheels. Ahhhh, sweet relief.

It’s been almost a year since we set off on our adventure and during that time our kids have spent quality time in more than 20 different states. They’ve earned junior ranger badges, waded in streams, rowed boats, climbed mountains, visited museums, watched plays, ridden trains, made new friends, deepened friendships with friends afar, and just generally grown up. While our son will not “officially” begin school until this August, he has had no shortage of life lessons and hands on learning.

One of the reasons we RV fulltime is to combat nature deprivation. When you live in such a tiny place you naturally gravitate outside. This means our kids explore rocks instead of video games and chase bugs instead of watch TV. That’s fine by me.

While I haven’t been documenting our adventures over the past year on a blog, I will do a bit of review and will definitely start keeping track and staying organized. Just reviewing my iPhone photos since August has me all flustered and overwhelmed. Thank goodness they are categorized by date or I’d be lost.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I LOVE photographing seniors. Just meeting them and hanging out for 2 hours makes me feel young again and have more hope for the future. I have no doubt Naomi will make a huge difference in this beautiful world of ours.

If she could live anywhere in the world, she would live … in Iceland.

She has never… ridden in a hot-air balloon.

Her dream job is… to be a speech therapist and to work with children.

She most looks up to… her Dad because he has always been dedicated and hardworking. If she could be like someone she would be like him.

In my opinion there is no better time for a maternity shoot than at sunrise. Not only is it beautiful and symbolic of a new day, it is also a great way to escape the Albuquerque heat. Oh….and get to see the hot air balloons taking off.

This beautiful Mommy-to-be hiked to the top of the Petroglyphs in heels and a dress.

We couldn’t forget their first born.

My little man enjoying life as he so eloquently does.

As the waves rushed back into the vast ocean he would run after them, with his arms up, as if he could push them back all by himself. Each time they fought back he ran, squealing with delight and excitement as they chased him back to the shore.

I’ll say it again. I’m glad I did not have to choose a winner out of all these amazing babies. I wish there were 48 hours in a day and I didn’t have to pay bills, because I would happily photograph each of these babes for free.

Meet Taylor…
He’s a senior at Lovington High School

After graduation he plans to… go to college and get his degree in computer science and live his life to the fullest and be there for his friends and family when he is needed.

He is most proud of… his state championships
